• Gober et. al. (2011) WaterSim: a simulation model for urban water planning in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. Environment and Planning B: Planning and Design, volume 38, pages 197 - 215 Provides a summary of the earlier PowerSim model.
• Murray et al. A Spatial Optimization Model for Water Supply Allocation, Paper that demonstrates a use of the earlier version of the Fortran WaterSim model.
• White etal, (2010) Credibility, salience, and legitimacy ofboundary objects: water managers’ assessment of a simulation model in an immersive decision theater. Science and Public Policy, 37(3), April 2010, pages 219–232 Describes work done with stakeholders to identify changes they suggested be made in a revised version of WaterSim. THis guided conversion from the PowerSim to Fortran Model.
